The NEOhaus Institute's ecovillage will be a real working sustainable village located in an Akron residential neighborhood.

Classes, workshops, and tours of the village will be designed to teach people from all walks of life how to make their living space more healthy, harmonious, nontoxic, productive, energy and water efficient, carbon neutral, and ecologically-friendly.

Ecovillage demonstrates ecological ways of living that are accessible and affordable to people of all ages, ethnic/racial backgrounds, and income levels.

Whenever possible, Ecovillage will feature local environmental and ecological products and services, including:
